Eastern WHITE pine cones

Pine cones are everywhere in my yard, I have such an abundance every year
I use them to decorate with.  I am always looking for new and creative ways to use them.
I found these pictures, to inspire me
Using these for "White Wednesday"
In New England these are called "Eastern White Pine Cones"
We also use them in our fireplace to start our fires

Happy White Wednesday ~ Blessings Cheryl

  1. Oh boy, am I loving your White Wednesday pine cone post because I have pine cones in my yard ....millions of them. Right now we are raking and raking and raking all the fallen pine needles. They do make great mulch. Come for a visit. I have a give-away going on. ~ Lynn

  2. Hi Cheryl, I'm back. No...I live in Virginia. My home is called Cedarhill because of all the cedar trees and different varieties of pines. I saw in another of your post that you have bittersweet. Lucky!

  3. Hi, Really like your blog! So Pretty!!! best~*~kelley

  4. Hi Cheryl,
It was so good hearing from you on my blog. As you can see, I'm a huge animal lover too. I've just finished looking at both of your blogs, and have enjoyed them so much. The pine cone ideas are wonderful!
The kitten on your header, for your animal blog..... is so precious!

It's so good that you could take care of your mom at home, until the end. Our neighbor behind us, has that awful disease, and he's still home.

I see Joel Osteen on the side...... He's so positive and uplifting... I love listening and looking at him......
    Blessings to you,

Also, where do you live that the bittersweet grows like weeds. We don't have any around here and I just love how it looks. We do have rosehips which are a larger bud.

    Enjoy your evening.

  13. Oh my gosh! So glad you left me a little note on my blog so I could find yours! What a wonderful place for me to come peruse each day! I too am a lover of all things will be back often! And no, the buffet I posted about tonight was not sprayed. I like a nice sturdy brush finish, so I do all my pieces by hand. Although after just finishing that buffet and 6 matching chairs, spraying sounds wonderful! ;o) ~mary~
